EMERGENCY LOCATOR TRANSMITTER (ELT)
Falcon Flying Group also holds a Part 145 C rating for ELT programming, battery changes, testing, re-testing and re-certification for all Kannad and Artex ELTs.
ELTs are tracking transmitters which aid in the detection and location of boats, aircraft and people in distress, sending a signal which will triangulate your position via Cospas-Sarsat – the international satellite system for search and rescue (SAR), which operates 24/7, 365 days a year.
The most recent 406 MHz beacons can be identified almost instantly, with their associated GPS position encoded into the signal.
All work is certified with an UK CAA Form 1, EASA Form 1 or FAA Dual Release.
We are available seven days a week, so get in touch for any ELT requirements.
